With an immense
passion for the construction of lighting and composition,
Tommy Oceanak is rarely seen without a camera in
hand. Whether capturing human life or working on
film and television sets, Tommy carefully practices
the art of cinematography to tell stories using
inventive and exciting camera angles.
Currently,
Tommy works as a freelance Film/Video professional in
the Greater Philadelphia and New York area,
working on everything from
commercials to music videos, short films, and corporate
video. He has past experience shooting corporate video
for Rowan University’s Web Services department where
he shoots, edits and uploads promotional and educational
videos to the university’s Web site. He has experience
working with high-end personnel such as CEO’s of corporations
and celebrities. Tommy enjoys working on multiple assignments
where he can learn new techniques and collaborate creatively
with industry leaders.
Tommy
received his B.A. in Radio/TV/Film at Rowan University
where he directed five short films and three television
shows. He also served as the director of photography
on 10 short films and the lighting director on two television
shows. Tommy’s short film, Kelli, won second place in
the documentary category at the 2008 Greater Philadelphia
Student Film Festival, and a music video he shot has
been accepted into the Garden State Film Festival, Tip
of Your Tongue.
